Indiana Fever Player on Temporary Leave Reacts to New Post From WNBA Team originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Indiana Fever have been highly successful as of late, heading into a matchup against the Los Angeles Sparks.
Indiana has won three straight games, defeating the Minnesota Lynx in the Commissioner’s Cup Championship during their run.
While the Fever await the return of their biggest star, Caitlin Clark, who is currently working through a groin injury, they are also waiting for Damiris Dantas to return to the lineup.
Dantas is currently playing overseas with the Brazilian national team. She’s participating in the AmeriCupW, looking to help Brazil in their position for the World Cup and the Olympics.
On Saturday, Dantas took to social media, sharing her response to the Fever’s new post.
Indiana posted Dantas’ stats from Dantas’ latest game against Team Mexico.
During the win over Team Mexico, Damiris Dantas posted 24 points, six rebounds and four assists per game. She was also effective on the defensive end, notching three steals in the game for Team Brazil.
Dantas has helped Team Brazil for years, producing quality numbers during the AmeriCupW. The Fever forward has been playing professional basketball since 2010 with COC/Jundai.

Damiris Dantas is currently working through her second season with the Indiana Fever. During the 2025 season with the Fever, Dantas has posted 5.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game.
Dantas last hit the floor for the Fever on June 25.
While Indiana awaits the return of Dantas, they have relied on Aliyah Boston. Natasha Howard and even rookie Makayla Timpson during their win streak over the Minnesota Lynx, Dallas Wings and Las Vegas Aces.
