Taylor Swift has reportedly begun her next top-secret project, and it is the music video for one of her beloved The Life of a Showgirl songs.
The 35-year-old pop superstar is said to be working on the music video for Elizabeth Taylor, and what makes it particularly special is that she is returning to London for the filming.
The Fate of Ophelia hitmaker has had a deep connection with the British land, as recorded in her songs, London Boy, and So Long, London, since she spent a significant time there because of her British ex-boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, and the music video is recorded there because of the ‘60s legendary actress’ link to the city.
“Taylor is super excited to be back in London filming for her new music video. Elizabeth Taylor is a British icon and Taylor wants to pay homage by shooting scenes in the capital. Taylor has always written about her love for London, and the video will capture different locations around the city,” an insider told The Sun.
Although fans are excited for the music video, many Swifties believe that the Grammy winner’s song Opalite deserved to be the next single from the album, and expressed their disagreement on social media.
“Amazing song and im glad its getting a video but why wouldn’t she make one for Opalite since its very stable on streaming?,” one fan wrote on X.
Another agreed, “SOMEONE TELL HER WE WANT THE OPALITE MV FIRST,” and “opalite was right there…she always does this…,” chimed in a third.
While several fans theorised that Swift has already filmed the music video for Opalite, and wrote, “This better just mean I’m getting the fate of Ophelia, Elizabeth Taylor, AND opalite.”
It is to be noted that Swift’s new music video for either Elizabeth Taylor, or Opalite, has not been officially announced yet.
