Amanda Seyfried, otherwise a well-known actress, has been battling serious anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder. But over time, she has learned to use them correctly.

Speaking to CBS, the actress says, “All the things that I have been diagnosed with, I’ve been able to channel them in the right ways and take the right medication to use it to my advantage.”

She continues, “And to, like, shut it up when it’s no longer helpful, for the most part. And that has helped me. Self-loathing, self-judgment, all that, at times helped me keep my s*** together.”

In other news, Amanda rules out doing plastic surgery in the foreseeable future, stating she would prefer a non-invasive procedure for her skin.

“I have a really good dermatologist who tells me that she’s never gonna do anything but put Botox in the same place for the rest of my life,” she tells Who What Wear, referring to her forehead, where she had the treatment.

Her latest remarks echo her previous statements about her commitment to non-surgical methods in her beauty regimen.

It is worth noting that Amanda has been open about her skin conditions, which are eczema and perioral dermatitis.

“What’s that on her face?” she previously told Vogue Beauty Secrets. “That’s my eczema, and I, too, suffer from perioral dermatitis.”

She continued, “When I was 19, I started developing a rash, and I learned about a lot of medicated products — I learned a lot about just products in general from my dermatologist at the time.”

Amanda meanwhile is set to appear in The Housemaid, which will hit the cinemas on Dec 19.
